ASHURST AND COLBURY COMMUNITY GROUP (ACCG) 

Ashurst and Colbury Community Group have adopted their local Train Station and joined the New Forrest Community Rail Partnership which will also bring them into contact with
other people who have adopted their local Train Station. 

                            They have had great communication with South Western Railway and Network Rail and have a good relationship with the Station Manager Paul Collins.

So far, they have made and completed 3 large planters, along with introducing recycling bins on the Station platforms.

The Friends are in the progress of clearing a disused siding, in which they hope to relay the track and obtain a carriage which will provide local historical information about the site.
Ashurst, then Lyndhurst Road Station were the only ones of a few which had sidings running from each side of the platforms. and at this moment we are in the progress of clearing a disused siding, in which we hope to relay track and obtain a carriage which will provide local historical information about the site.
